NAME: James Scade DJ NAME & WHERE DID IT COME FROM?: ScadeE. Pretty self explanatory everyone called me scadey for years and thought it would confuse to change it so instead added a ‘E’ on the end for urm various reasons J WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC YOU PLAY: I love playing UK Hardcore but learnt some time ago that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. The answer is a bit of everything but i’m particularly liking knocking out trance and electro atm. CDJ'S OR VINYL WHAT SET UP DO YOU USE: After moving from my pitch wavering xl300’s that had a mind of there own, I’ve moved on to CDJ1000’s and a Denon dnx1500, I really miss the feel of vinyl though so gonna be investing in some 1210’s soon as well. HOW BIG IS YOUR COLLECTION: I don’t actually have a clue my vinyl collection is about 300 tunes strong, I’m not even going to bother trying to figure out the amount of tunes I have on cd and mp3 but its into the 1000’s for sure. HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN MUSICALLY INFLUENCED: Yeah defo I’ve always preferred to sit and listen to a mix than watch TV when I’m chilling. When I was about 10 I remember thinking to myself what a dull place the world would be without music. The second cd I ever bought was trance nation mixed by Ferry Corsten which got me completely hooked on dance music. WHO ARE YOUR FAVOURITE DJ'S: I could go on forever here but I think my top 3 have got to be: Joey Riot (true showman), Cally&Juice (scratching with your feet wtf!), James Zambiela (developing turntablism with cdj's) TOP 3 FAVOURITE TUNES OFF ALL TIME: Dj GRH, MDA & Spherical - Illusion, Energy 52 – Cafe del Mar, Liquid – Sweet Harmony WHAT WAS THE FIRST TUNE YOU EVER BROUGHT: Ian van Dahl – Castles in the sky lol that was fantastically cheesy. OUT OF ALL OF YOUR TUNES, WHICH ONE "NEVER FAILS" : Cafe del Mar – almost everyone knows it, the main drop gets everyone buzzing and you can use it as a build up or to slow a set down or finish or start one, never fails cracking tune. HOW DO YOU SEE THE MUSIC SCENE IN 5 YEARS AND WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN IT: It might just be that I’m moving in different circles now but dance music seems to be on a real rise at the mo RnB is slowly disappearing from your average bars and clubs and is been replaced with funky house and electro. If for some reason the Government decide to start limiting noise levels in clubs etc I can see the whole scene moving into fields and warehouses again. In 5 years I would like to be promoting more of my own events and playing in Clubs. I also want to start producing my own material, I would hope 5 years is enough to release a few tunes. IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE WHAT YEAR WOULD YOU GO TO AND WHY: 1992 when Fantazia were at Castle Donnington that looked like a proper party - if only I had been old enough...
